Despite what it seems like, South Florida has very active black and fabulous young urban leaders. Miami is one of the best cities for young urban professionals because of the diverse cultures. The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce is the premier African American Chamber of Commerce in the region.

Despite what it may seem like South Florida does have a solid network of progressive, young black professionals, and it is the vision of the South Florida HBCU Alumni Alliance to spearhead the movement and play an active role in shaping the social environment for South Florida's upwardly mobile black professionals. The marquee event of the South Florida HBCU Alumni Alliance is the monthly 1st Wednesdays HBCU/Greek Alumni Networking & Cosmopolitan Social that takes place at chic venues throughout South Florida. In addition to this event, we support events hosted by the other local black professional organizations.
