HBCU Alumni Alliance- Events and Socials
One of the goals of the South
Florida HBCU Alliance is to create networking and social events
for its member chapters, the HBCU community, and all South Florida African-American
professionals. These events are purposed to foster new professional
and business development opportunities for our community.

- November 4,
2009-
We're expecting over 275 at this month's 1st Wednesday South Florida
HBCU/Greek Alumni Happy Hour & Cosmopolitan Social at Justin's
Bar & Lounge. We've heard that the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity
will come out in full force in support of the movement.
- October 9, 2009--
Join us at the Young Alumni Cosmopolitan Social for the kickoff to
the Florida A&M University vs University of Miami game weekend
with the happy hour and party held at Prime Atlanta Restaurant &
Bar and attended by top university officials.
- October 7, 2009-
The 8th installment of the 1st Wednesdays South Florida HBCU/Greek
Alumni & Cosmopolitan Social held at Justin's Bar & Lounge
(Aventura)
- September 12, 2009-
The South Florida HBCU Alumni Allianced Partnered with the National
Coalition of 100 Black Women Greater Miami Chapter to Present: Financial
Security and Wealth Creation for the Young Professional. The free
financial seminar was presented by local financial planning firm,
Pettus & Dawkins Financial Group.
- September 2, 2009-
1st Wednesdays South Florida HBCU/Greek Alumni Happy Hour &
Cosmopolitan Social at Prime Atlantis Seafood & Steak Restaurant.
We welcome the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization of Greater Miami
& Broward who will join us and represent for their mentor program.
- August 5, 2009-
1st Wednesdays South Florida HBCU/Greek Alumni Happy Hour &
Cosmopolitan Social at Pangaea Lounge at the Hard Rock Casinos.
New place, same great time.
- August 1, 2009- The
South Florida HBCU Alumni Alliance hosts a funfilled daytime social
with food, drinks, and plenty of board games.
- July 1, 2009-
The 4th in the
series of our signature HBCU/Greek Alumni Happy Hour & Cosmopolitan
Social. With over 250 of South Florida's upwardly mobile young professionals
attending, the social has now become a highlight among professional
urban circles. Attendees enjoyed complimentary drinks and massages
provided by Goldson Spine Rehabilitation Center of Pembroke Pines
and Plantation, FL and complimentary sushi provided by the Florida
Memorial University National Alumni Association.

now become a signature monthly event, join us at the Happy Hour &
Cosmopolitan Social at Justin's Bar & Lounge
- March 30, 2009--
South Florida HBCU Alumni Cosmopolitan Social Hosted at Justin's Bar
& Lounge and was attended by alumni from Florida A&M University,
Howard University, Alcorn State University,
Hampton University, Tuskegee University, Virginia State University,
Edgar Waters College, Florida State University, University of Florida,
and many others.

As part of the Florida A&M University National Networking Day,
which was held at various cities across the country, we hosted the
South Florida FAMU Alumni Happy Hour Cosmopolitan Social at
Justin's Bar & Lounge
